OKW at the world's leading trade fair for electronics in Munich

The electronica has been covering the entire spectrum of electronics for years. This year, from 12 to 15 November, around 80,000 visitors once again gathered in 18 exhibition halls to obtain a wide range of information on various areas of interest from 3,480 exhibitors. This time, the main focus was on sustainability and artificial intelligence. Naturally, OKW Gehäusesysteme GmbH from Buchen, with their "electronic enclosures," was among the exhibiting companies.

Every electronics application needs a housing, and OKW offers a wide variety of (empty) enclosures in which the relevant hardware can be installed. For OKW, a globally active company, the trade fair with visitors from around 100 countries and regions was the right place to be. The fair has now reached the same high level as it had before the pandemic, and with the positive atmosphere that emerged despite the challenges of current times, the company can consider its participation a resounding success. OKW's stand itself was very favourably positioned, and this had a positive effect on the flow of visitors and thus on the team's lively exchange with potential customers.

Once again, aesthetics and functionality were the main focus of the Buchen products. The versatility and durability of the enclosures, in combination with high-quality materials, were well received by the visitors, so much so that the trade fair team, led by Managing Director Christoph Schneider, was kept busy throughout the four days of the event. Mr Schneider also took the opportunity to speak at the "Embedded Platforms Forum", where he explained to the interested audience the benefits of standard enclosures in electronic design. He demonstrated how costs and time can be saved in the development process and how efficiency in projects can be increased.

OKW GROUP TRAINEE 'WELCOME-DAY' 2024

In September, the OKW Group hosted the 2024 trainee welcome day. In addition to the trainees from OKW, young talents from Bauländer Kunststoffwerke GmbH in Schlierstadt and Computer Creativ GmbH FROM Buchen also participated.

At the Eventurepark in Mudau-Steinbach, the focus on this day was on 'Communication and Teamwork'. The nine apprentices of the group of companies mastered a low ropes course and successfully navigated an escape room. They then demonstrated absolute trust in their team and their own strength at a dizzying height. The successful day concluded with a barbecue buffet.

We wish all our new apprentices a fantastic start and much success and fun in the coming training year!

OKW Gehäusesysteme at the all about automation fair in hamburg

We started the new year with a trade fair appearance in Hamburg: we were represented at all about automation on 17th and 18th January with proven standards and new products from the enclosure and tuning knob sectors. Everything here revolved around industrial automation: whether it was systems, components, software or development services that can be used for suitable solutions in the fields of automation, robotics or digitalization. There were also presentations accompanying the trade fair, which took a closer look at current topics such as AI/machine learning, sustainability in automation and CO2-neutral production.

Around 2,000 visitors were able to obtain comprehensive information and advice on a wide range of automation topics - including from us. Our enclosures and tuning knob can be used in a wide range of applications; they are used, for example, in intelligent machine control systems, measuring or testing devices or even in data acquisition devices as modern "packaging" and precise operating elements. With hand-held, desktop, wall-mounted and wearable enclosures, high-quality products were presented for a wide range of applications, which were well received by interested trade visitors. "Especially now, when digitalization is developing so rapidly in a wide range of industries and business areas, electronics developers need all the more support in choosing the right enclosure. Direct dialogue with interested parties in the early stages of development is therefore all the more important, as it can save time and costs. And a trade fair with its direct contact opportunities is predestined for finding ideas and inspiration as to what the end device could look like," says Michael Reimold, our Deputy Head of Sales and Marketing.
